A workaholic obsessed with the repetition of certain subjects, Bernard Buffet used floral motifs in abundance: poppies, sunflowers, roses and tulips, the artist enjoyed composing bouquets with a geometric allure. Far from the silent still life, these lithographs are marked by incisive lines and bold colors, in keeping with the artist's sulphurous reputation.
