Description
Chinese-style paperback in lined leaves, white cardboard cover, illustrated in color on both covers; lining, endpapers and spine dotted with multicolored flowers engraved on lino, decorated slipcase with repetition of multicolored flowers in garlands, 46 pages. The book is entirely designed and engraved on lino by Edgard Tytgat, as is the woodcut text. 16 color engravings, hors texte.
Edition:
- 40 on Chine, of which 30 numbered from 1 to 30 and 10 numbered from I to X and reserved for the artist; all include a suite of illustrations in bistre and a suite in color
- 70 on Hollande van Gelder laid paper, numbered from 31 to 100
- in addition, there are 10 copies marked "Hors-commerce" and "exemplaire réservé", nos. 1 to 10.
All copies are numbered, signed and dated (1921).
