Minaux, André

André Minaux (1923-1986) was a versatile French artist, active as a painter, engraver, illustrator, sculptor and draughtsman. Having studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs, he benefited from the instruction of Maurice Brianchon and Roland Oudot. André Minaux was a prominent member of the illustrious École de Paris, participating in the Jeune Peinture movement in the 50s, then joining the Peintres Témoins de leur Temps group. His military service in Avignon had a profound influence on his artistic approach, imbued with the characteristic light of southern France.
