Le Balp, Jean-Luc

After studying painting, Jean-Luc Le Balp took up engraving at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. Over time, drawing and figuration gave way to a poetic body of work, shaped by shapes, materials and colors. In this artistic blend, the present merges with the past, transforming the everyday into a visual poem with temporal nuances. His etchings, mainly etchings and aquatints on zinc, are produced on Ledeuil presses.

Since 2000, Jean-Luc Le Balp has been exhibiting his work in France and the United States, notably in New York City and Seattle.
