Sécheret, Jean-Baptiste
Jean-Baptiste Sécheret was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1957. After graduating from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he spent two years in Madrid between 1984 and 1986 as part of an artistic residency at Casa de Velazquez. During his stay, he concentrated on printmaking and drew inspiration from Spain's artistic heritage, notably the paintings of Antonio López García. His work, whether engraved, painted or drawn, is regularly exhibited in France and abroad, and has won several awards. He has been the subject of over twenty publications, most recently in 2022 with Les Cahiers dessinés. Discover his works in our online art gallery.
